A study has found that indulging in a scoop of ice cream first thing in the morning is the best way to kickstart your day.
Not only giving you a mental boost, the soothing nature of the icy treat reduces any crankiness that may be lingering following the cruel sound of your alarm.
The ice cream is also supposed to make you more alert which is wonderful news for those of us who usually struggle to function without that all-important shot of coffee.
The study, which was conducted by Lecturer Yoshihiko Koga at Kyorin University in Japan, claims that those who abstained from ice cream in the morning were not as alert and were also more susceptible to bad moods.
With this knowledge, you can now trade out your yogurt and granola for some ice cream and granola…maybe you could even add some sprinkles to add some extra sparkle to your life.
