Dublin City welcomes a new social HQ – Hyde Dublin – a modern spot to drink, dine and dance
Those in search of a cool new spot to gather with friends for drinks, delicious food and dancing ’til late are in for a real treat later this autumn… Located on Lemon Street, Hyde Dublin is a new four-storey space comprising a sleek café bar, contemporary Asian restaurant, chic terrace, and stylish rooftop bar.
This November will see the opening of Hyde – Dublin’s coolest new hotspot, which will provide a full 360 offering, including a stylish café bar where guests can enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail or light snack with drinks; an Asian-style restaurant headed up by award-winning chef & Culinary Director, Karl Whelan; a sleek terrace for those looking to meet up with friends over drinks and a yakitori sharing plate or to host an event for up to 100 guests, and a stylish rooftop bar (due to open in spring 2023) serving up a yakitori and canapé menu and providing an events space that will cater for up to 200 guests.
Just one of the highlights of the Irish-owned venue will be Gekko, a contemporary restaurant and bar serving up Asian-inspired dishes created by award-winning chef Karl Whelan using premium Irish produce. It will be open to diners daily for both lunch and dinner with brunch served from Friday to Sunday.
Just some of the dishes on the extensive menu include Iberico pork, ginger and fig glaze, shiso and puffed rice; steamed cod, miso and cockles; crispy pork cheek with spicy pickles; and BBQ beef sirloin, black garlic, and marrow fried garlic. Starters and small plates include tempura oyster, green chilli vinegar and potato; hamachi, ink, lime, togarashi and burnt kombu; squid bun with chilli crisp; and grilled shiitake, miso butter, beans and shoots. Sharing plates, meanwhile, include grilled whole turbot, coconut and langoustine bisque; whole glazed duck; and whole wild seabass baked in seaweed, salt chilli and garlic oil.
All four floors will offer late-night bars with ambient lighting and DJs spinning energetic tunes as well as impressive event spaces that reflect the Dublin of today – modern, diverse and unlike anywhere else.
