Hot Chocolate Just Got a Five-Star Upgrade With New Dedicated Menu at Dylan Hotel

We’ve already brought you a list of twelve of the best hot chocolates in Dublin, but now one of Dublin’s finest five-star boutique hotels, Dylan, just off Upper Baggot Street, has created a list of its very own. Introducing The Chocolate List; a menu of six heavenly hot chocolates.

The decadent new menu was designed by the Dylan’s Head Chef Mark Bodie in collaboration with Cocoa Atelier, Dublin’s renowned chocolaterie, and will launch on the 4th of December.

The limited-edition menu consists of, chocoholics prepare to swoon, six varieties hot chocolates made with the finest quality ingredients and toppings sourced from the renowned Chocolaterie de L’Opera in France.

Each hot chocolate tipple has been named after a classic festive moment when loved ones reunite, the option to add a liqueur for an extra kick, and the guarantee that it will bowl you over with pure unadulterated chocolate indulgence.

The Chocolate List features the ‘Gather Madagascar’ made with dark chocolate from Madagascar, wild Madagascan sugar and vanilla cream topped with chocolate shavings, and an optional shot of Gosling’s spiced dark rum.

‘The Long Catch Up’ is orange infused dark chocolate, burnt passionfruit marshmallow and confit orange pieces. Add a shot of Cointreau to further increase the zesty flavour.

The mocha style ‘Welcome Home’ is a mix of chocolate ganache, tiramisu infusion, gingerbread crumbs and flaked chocolate. Add a shot of Disaronno for an extra almond infusion.

Cosy up with ‘A December Date’ and enjoy smoked dark chocolate, Teeling whiskey smoked sea salt, old fashioned bitters and grated orange zest. Add a shot of Connemara Peated Single Malt Whiskey to really pack a punch.

‘Cosy Cure’ – Clear the cobwebs after one of many Christmas nights out, with a remedy of caramel infused dark chocolate, marshmallow cream, Achill island sea salt and crunchy caramel. Brave the hair of the dog and add a shot of house infused vanilla vodka for an extra sweet treat.

Finally, the ‘American Chattering’ completes the menu, made with smooth peanut butter emulsified with dark chocolate, jellied marshmallow and homemade peanut brittle. Fire it up with a shot of Patron XO café tequila.

The ultimate, indulgent chocolate experience just in time for Christmas can be enjoyed from 4th December until 7th January and the menu runs seven days a week.
