Could This Be The Hottest New Dining Venue in Dublin City Centre?

Dublin’s St Stephen’s Green was laid out as a residential square in 1664. No. 41, which faces onto the square, was subsequently built in 1745 as a residential home for Mrs Ruth Croker.

Since her days, this beautiful building has hosted many fabulous parties, seen many eminent figures pass through its doorway, and witnessed episodes of turbulent Irish history unfolding on its doorstep.

With four floors, Dublin’s newest dining venue, The Grayson, is set to be a welcome addition to the city when it opens on August 23rd.

Serving lunch from 12-4pm and dinner from 5pm, this all-day dining venue is also the perfect spot for some late-night partying at the weekend, with DJs playing tunes late into the night under the dazzling glass roof.

The dinner menu includes dishes like Roast Pork Belly, Sesame Seared Tuna, Pan Fried Scallop, Grilled Halloumi, Cured Iberico and much more.

Moving to their tempting cocktail list and guests can indulge in terrific tipples like the Coastline (Tanqueray No. Ten / Watermelon / Lime / Bitters / Fever Tree Ginger Ale), Roe’llin Like a Cherry (Roe&Co. / Cherry Puree / Lemon / Soda Top) and Rose’s Thorn (Gordon’s Pink / Raspberry / Lemon / Cranberry / Rose Water / Whites).

Interior designer Ann-Marie O’Neill notes: “We were very much guided by the original Georgian features in the existing building when developing the interior design concept for The Grayson.”

She adds: “We saw it as a priority to show off the beautifully retained features of the original house in the interior design. Yet at the same time it was also important that the interior was glamorous, contemporary and chic. We carefully researched and chose beautiful materials to use in the design such as Italian marbles, rosewood veneers and bronze to emphasise the chic and contemporary ambience of The Grayson.”

When you first enter The Grayson we want you to feel like you’re arriving at the best party in town – and everyone’s invited! Down the hallway, enter into our Ground Floor bar, a cosy spot for casual lunch from 12:00 – 15:00 Monday to Friday, or drinks and bar snacks any time of day or night seven days a week.

James Gibbons, who returns home from London to take the rein as General Manager of The Grayson, explains: “The Grayson will be a place of lush comfort and good times for all our guests. There’s something for everyone here. I truly believe that attention to detail and seamless service is key to any hospitality success story. If we approach service like we’re entertaining at home we get a natural standalone service.”

The other venues in the Press Up group’s impressive list include Angelina’s, The Stella Diner, Sophie’s, The Dean, Roberta’s and The Lucky Duck.

The Grayson is due to open on August 23rd and you can find more information on thegrayson.ie.
