Kakslauttanen resort, with its uniquely wonderful glass igloos, is located in Finnish Lapland, just 250 kilometres north of the Artic Circle.
Close to civilisation but perfectly nestled in nature, the resort is located on the edge of Finland’s largest national park, the beautiful Urho Kekkonen National Park.
According to their website, the resort’s surroundings are “one of the cleanest you’ll find anywhere in the world. The water is so pure that you can quench your thirst straight from a stream running down the fell or the lake into which it flows, and the air is so fresh that you can feel it deep down in your lungs.”
This definitely sounds like an absolute dreamland, made even better by the designs of the accommodation.
At Kakslauttanen, you can experience a thoroughly unique experience in their Glass Igloos. As you lie in your bed, gaze up at the light dance above you. These 2-4 person igloos are perfect for friends or a romantic night under the Northern Lights.
The Glass Igloos are available to book throughout the peak season for the Northern Lights, from August 24th until the end of April.
If you need us before April, we’ll be in a glass igloo under the Northern Lights! For more information visit www.kakslauttanen.fi.
