But in between brunch, your weekly takeaway, and drinks with friends there are a host of foodie events that will satisfy every craving.

Here are our picks of the five best food and drink events this weekend, July-7th-8th.

Kilkenny Craft Beer Festival

Taste Over 200 Craft Brews at Kilkenny Craft Beer Festival from July 5th to 8th

Local craft brewery Costellos is inviting the craft beer community for a week of tastings and fun at the Kilkenny Craft Beer Festival, which will take place from July 5th to the 8th. Visitors will be treated to over 180 different beers and those attending on Friday the 7th of July will get be able to participate in the “Taste them All” day, a completely unique event in the Irish Festival Circuit where over 200 Irish beers can be tasted at an intimate setting for a semi-formal tasting class.


Teeling’s Spirit of Dublin Summer Craft Fair

Teeling Whiskey distillery will once again play host to many of Ireland’s most talented producers at the latest edition of their popular Craft Fair, this Saturday from 10 am to 5.30 pm. Taste cocktails and treat yourself to an Irish whiskey while you browse to the stands of 35 producers of artisan food and drink including The Cupcake Bloke, Bean and Goose Chocolates, The Dublin Doughnut Company, The Purple Pantry and The Little Milk Company, just to name a few.


Laya Healthcare’s City Spectacular

Ireland’s biggest free summer festival returns with over 300 shows, workshops and activities for all the family to enjoy. Laya Healthcare’s City Spectacular will take place in Dublin’s Merrion Square from July 7th to 9th and Cork will welcome it the following week, from July 15th to 16th. Enjoy food from popular artisan producers and your favourite world cuisines at the Just Eat Street, all the while being entertained by some of the world’s best street performers.

Running from 4th-9th of July Clonmel Junction Festival is bringing a diverse and unique programme to County Tipperary carefully curated around the theme of the black sheep. At the heart of the festival is the The Black Sheep Café, which will operate as a pop up cafe, restaurant, conversation space, tavern and home to the ‘Festival Club’. Events include Meet The Makers: Talk with Tipperary Food Producers (Wed-Fri 4pm), Clonmel Food Trail (Sat 11am) and the Clonmel Foraging Walk (Sat 4pm).


Lucky Tortoise Brunch & Residency Launch Party

Food lovers in the know flocked to The Lucky Tortoise Pop Up at The Hill Pub in Ranelagh since it popped up earlier this year. Catering to demand the Lucky Tortoise is now taking up Residency every Sunday, including a Dim Sum Brunch, a full all day Menu and a masterclass. For its launch this weekend the lucky Tortoise will be taking over the kitchen all weekend with brunch, dim sum and bottomless Prosecco on both Saturday and Sunday.


Fusion Sunday

Taking place every second Sunday, from 11am to 5pm, Fusion Sundays is a world culture market hosted at the Dublin Food Co-op. Focusing on the ethnic diversity in Ireland, there with stalls from around the world, selling a range of handmade goods, arts and crafts, jewelery, and clothes. But foodies save the date in their diary each month for the diverse range of street food from around the world including Korean and Egyptian. This month’s interactive event is a Chakra Workshop, giving you the tools to take a journey through your energy system and learn how to scan and harmonize your chakras.
