Now in its 15th year it would be a stretch to suggest that Midleton Food and Drink Festival is a new venture, but the 2017 edition of the festival is set to attract more attention and crowds than ever following its rebranding as Feast – East Cork Food & Drink Festival.
Events will run from 4th to 10th September with the family favorite Street Festival on Saturday 9th September, when festival goers can browse, taste and buy produce from over 60 stalls that will line the streets of Midleton.
While Midleton has become a hub of culinary excellence southern Ireland’s, with Jameson Whiskey Distillery whiskey, one of Ireland’s original Farmers Markets and a host of well regarded restaurants attracting food and drink lovers to the town.
Building on this already strong foundation this year’s festival will celebrate also the locally produced fare and superb seafood from the surrounding farmland and nearby fishing village Ballycotton, and beyond the Street Festival there are a number of fringe events throughout the week in the East Cork area, widening the catchment of the festival.
Taking place throughout the week the programme includes events with local culinary gems like SAGE, Ferrit & Lee, Ballymaloe House, and the Bayview Hotel, Ballycotton.
