Are you Brave Enough? This Spooky Gin Was Cursed by a Professional Witch

We have seen plenty of unusual gin treats lately… There’s glittery gin, gin Christmas crackers, and even a pineapple gin made in Ireland! But none like this: bright green and named Evil Spirit Gin, it is infused with a combination of “mint, apples and a dash of Devil’s Claw.”

The mint and the apples come from Pluckley, which according to the Guinness World Records, is England’s most haunted village, haunted by at least a dozen ghosts. The village, a popular destination for Halloween thrill seekers and paranormal investigators, is hosts to spirits as old as Lady Dering, a.k.a. The Red Lady, who died in the 12th century.

If this is not enough to fill your heart with fear (or curiosity), let us tell you each individual bottle has been “cursed” by an actually professional witch, Ms. Julianne White, who cast bespoke enchantments on the small, limited-edition batch, under October’s full moon.

The gin is produced by Union Distillers and sold by Moonpig. They explain that “the blessing empowers the drinker to follow whatever their hearts desire – whether it is for good or evil.”

The Limited Edition Evil Spirit Gin has an ABV of 40% and they advise drinkers to avoid consuming it during a full moon. “Moonpig is not responsible if you’re transformed into a toad, zombie, or werewolf”, reads the disclaimer.
