Entries are Open for the Blas na hEireann Irish Food Awards 2016

The application process is now open for this year’s Blas na hEireann Irish Food Awards.

Producers across Ireland can enter on the website for a chance to have their products judged at the Dingle Food Festival in October.

This is the 9th year of the awards and last year saw a record 2500 entries to the blind tasted competition.

This year, for the first time ever, there will be a Best in County and a Best in Farmers Market for every county in Ireland.

Awards Chairperson Artie Clifford commented, “The past winners of Best in County awards have reported that being recognised in their county has been vital to their business, especially those businesses where a large portion of their sales are made locally, either in stores or farmers markets”.

Early bird entries close on April 30th. The final closing date for entries is June 17th. To enter, go to www.irishfoodawards.com
