Embark on a Culinary Journey Through the Different Spanish Regions with Chef Juan Luis Caser

Chef Juan Luis Casero has crossed borders to bring to Ireland a taste of Spanish cuisine and had worked in the kitchens of several prestigious Dublin restaurants. He will host a comprehensive cookery workshop from 8 November – 6 December at the Instituto Cervantes Dublin, offering a great opportunity to embark on a culinary journey that will take you from the Canaries to Madrid, Catalonia to Andalusia and beyond.

Every Tuesday and for a total of five sessions, participants will get to experience several of Spain’s most iconic dishes, learning the way professionals make them and tasting them afterwards. Groups numbers are kept between 10 to a maximum of 20 participants, cosy enough to be able to interact with the chef.

At every masterclass, chef Juan Luis Casero will introduce a range of techniques and procedures used to elaborate these dishes. The occasion will allow allow you to taste some of Spain’s best regional wines and Sherry varieties. Since most of the ingredients used on the classes are available in Ireland,  you will be able to reproduce much of what you learn at home.

The workshop will be held on five consecutive Tuesdays in English and each of the 90 minutes session will focus on a particular geographical area and its distinctive cuisine. Sessions will run from 6.30pm to 8pm. The schedule is as follows:

1.- Asturias, Cantabria, Galicia.

2.- Canary Islands, Andalusia, Murcia.

3.- Catalonia, Valencia, Balearic Islands.

4.- Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha, Extremadura, Greater Madrid.

5.- Aragón, La Rioja, Navarra and Basque Country.

In each session, you will receive a file containing information on the region in question. The file will also contain the recipes introduced, notes on the region’s wines and information on where the particular ingredients can be purchased in Ireland.

Whether you are a novice or an experienced cook, you are welcome to this workshop.

Fee: €125 (includes tasting).
