Edward Dillon Celebrates 150 Years with Gala Dinner in Royal Hospital Kilmainham

Leading distributor of world-class premium drinks brands, Edward Dillon, is celebrating 150 years of representing an enviable portfolio of brands.

Over the past 150 years, Edward Dillon has become part of the fabric of both historic and contemporary Irish society, from Hennessy Cognac to Bacardí Rum and Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey.

At a recent gala in CEO Andy O’Hara hosted the event in honour of Edward Dillon, while some star studded guests, including Lord & Lady Henry and Iona Mountcharles, British Ambassador to Ireland Robin Barnett, Louis Fitzgerald, Tom Moran, Charlie Chawke, Tom Shipsey, Paul Cadden & Noel Keeley were in attendance.

Guests were welcomed to the Chapel of the RHK with a Moët & Chandon reception and an offering of bespoke cocktails that showcased a number of the Edward Dillon brands including the Lynchburg to Manhattan with Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7, the Electric Avenue with Bacardí Carta Oro and the Hennessy Sidecar with Hennessy VS.

String quartet, Elastic Strings, performed a mixture of classical pieces and world pop music, creating the perfect ambience for guests to chat and mingle before sitting down for a stunning gala dinner.

RTE’s Shay Byrne acted as MC for the evening while CEO Andy O’ Hara welcomed guests to the Great Hall where they enjoyed an exquisite three course meal.

Global Maison Ambassador for Hennessy Jean Michel Cochet raised a toast to Edward Dillion with Hennessy X.O to close out the evening. Andy O’ Hara thanked all of the guests for attending and raised a final glass to a long future for Edward Dillon.
