Saba and Saba To Go are bringing us back to the stone age this month to kick start a healthy year. Their new Paleo menu has been designed to provide the tastiest and exciting healthy food around. Caveman Month is inspired by classic Saba favourites. Dishes from the new menu include Chargrilled Sirloin Steak served in a delicious red curry paste and the Prawn Primal Green, a delicious serving of tiger prawns.
The new menu also includes a range of signature cocktails which are low in calories, made from the freshest fruit and use only natural sweeteners. Cocktails include The Gatherer, made with Bacardi Carta Blanca, Lillet rouge, stevia, a selection of fresh berries and topped with soda water €10.50 and The Hunter made with El Jimador Reposado Tequila, fresh red pepper, organic tomato juice, fresh chillies, lime juice, smoked salt and red peppercorn €10.50.
Head chef Taweesak Trakoolwattana has created the menu in conjunction with leading nutritionist Erika Doolan of Nutrition Ireland. It is packed full of nutritious ingredients, superfoods and antioxidants to stay true to Saba’s healthy ethos. This is particularly appropriate now that Saba To Go has been named as Ireland’s Healthiest Takeaway.
Paul Cadden, owner of Saba said: “We are delighted to extend our healthy eating paleo ethos to include a paleo specific menu and our dishes have become really popular with our customers. Thai and Vietnamese food is naturally healthy with fresh herbs & ingredients and the paleo menu is an extension of that, tweaking the dishes but not compromising on the taste”.
