Last weekend, Dublin counted a new addition to its buzzing bar scene: Piper’s Corner, a trad bar in Marlborough Street, in the site where the derelict Sean O’Casey’s bar used to be located.
The venue irradiates love for Irish music, and with beloved musician Seán Potts behind it, you couldn’t have had it any other way. The opening comes during a time when the area has been experiencing a wave of investment which includes the renovation of Irish Life’s plazas and the announcement of a two-story Wetherspoon pub soon to open on a former church on Abbey Street.

Besides offering a new space for lovers of traditional Irish music outside hectic Temple Bar, Piper’s Corner combines features of modern bars such as modern decor and an exciting line-up of craft beers such as Kinnegar Brewing, 9 White Deer, Arthurstown Brewing and more.

Comfortable, relaxed and with a distinctive personality and real passion behind it, this is a most welcomed concept to an area that just seems to keep getting better and better.
