Here’s Where you Can Drink Wine for a Great Cause this Movember

This month, you have the opportunity to enjoy wine and help make a difference in a man’s life: numerous Irish restaurants and bars have teamed up with Mackenway Wines to raise funds for the Movember Foundation, the organisation behind the popular initiative “Movember” that sees men all over the world solidarising with each other during the month of November to create awareness about some of the biggest health issues faced by men.

The restaurant-led initiative has a goal of raising €6,000.00 this month and to make that happen, participating venues will donate €10 per bottle of Wongo Dongo sold during Movember. The wine is made a 100% Monastrell by Bodegas Volver from Spain, located in the D.O. Jumilla.

It’s label depicts an illustration with a man with a large mustage, a nod to Movember’s more recognisable image.

The participating venues in Dublin are Coppinger Row, Charlotte Quay, Fade Street Social, Rustic Stone, Brasserie 66, Café H, Grand Canal Dock, Bloom Brasserie, Octopussy, The Oar House, McHughs Wine & Dine, McKenna’s Dun-Laughaire, Doran’s Killester, The Gravedigger, The Mag Pie Inn, Dalkey and Ashtons Gastro Pub, Clonskeogh.

Outside of Dublin, numerous restaurants and pubs have joined the initiative. Share a glass of Wongo Dongo at the following venues to participate: The Dew Drop Gastro Pub, Kill Co.Kildare; Hartes of Kildare, Kildare; The Fat Angle Wine Bar, Waterford and The Bistro, Gorey, Co. Wexford.
