Dublin’s café culture is developing rapidly and there is no shortage of spots to get your caffeine and latte art fix around the city. Keen to offer something a little different, entrepreneur Gordon Hickey decided to inject a pop of colour and character into Thomas Street and just opened his unique venture, Container Coffee, on Monday of this week.
As the name suggests, this pared-back coffee shop is housed in a recycled shipping container, a bright blue beacon located on the grounds of The Digital Hub campus, next to OneFiveSeven and Digital Depot buildings. Container Coffee is equipped with fully retractable doors for sunny days like today and has views of neighbouring St.Patrick’s Tower.
Container Coffee will serve ‘Sam’ blend Cloud Picker Coffee in all the guises we know and love, including a very tempting Vanilla Iced Latte but the reasons to swing by don’t stop there. You can also pick up a sweet treat to go with your cup of Joe – Container Coffee will be serving up baked goodies like Almond Croissants and Vegan Bites too. For lunch on the go, try one of their delicious sounding gourmet sandwiches, like Roast Cauliflower and Smoked Cheese with Bechamel & Chilli on sourdough.
