Cocktail of the Week from Drury Buildings

THE COCKTAIL

Cider Berry Smash €8.50

Cidre SmashCider season is year-round – crisp and cold in summer, spicy and inviting in winter! Get into the Christmas feel!

The nights are longer and colder, and people are migrating to the winter cider cocktail. A mix of fruit reminds the drinker of the classic combination of apple and blackberry – yet another staple of comfort during dark evenings and cosy weekends. Additional spice from cloves adds an earthy aroma to this limited edition cocktail, and an extra floral flavour element to contrast with the sweetness of the berries and cider.

Cider Berry Smash is a long drink, perfect to drink slowly and enjoy. Although it has both cider and Irish Shortcross gin in it, the booze factor is significantly reduced by the length of the drink, the ice content and the relatively low percentage of the cider (5.3%), picking up the trend of low-alcohol long drinks from 2015.

All in all, it’s a comforting, yet refreshing, light drink that can be enjoyed all night, or as a palate cleansing aperitif before dinner. Cheers!

THE BAR

Drury Buildings is a modern Irish cocktail bar and restaurant with an Italian influence, situated in Dublin’s hip Creative Quarter.

Winter is coming and we have one of the few covered and heated outdoor spaces in town – the comfortable seating and open-plan garden make it perfect for afternoon lunches and get-togethers after work.

A must is our chef’s Saturday and Sunday brunch – served from noon.

Sunday to Tuesday Specials: Charcuterie sharing board for 2 plus a bottle of house wine for €30.
Zingy Jameson whiskey Sours are €7.50 each, and a simple bucket of six Sierra Nevada cans is only €25.

Alternatively, enjoy our restaurant balcony overlooking the garden, and order from the a la carte menu.
