CLIFF Academy, situated at the stunning Cliff at Lyons estate in Kildare, is now enrolling for its City & Guilds certified Professional Cookery Courses for September 2017. Ireland’s newest cookery school is the only facility in the country offering City & Guilds certification for its intensive Diploma in Food Preparation and Cooking. CLIFF Academy will hold an Open Day on May 10th which will give potential students a chance to meet the tutors, tour the facilities and meet the current students.
The 20 week course is suitable for school leavers with a passion for the culinary arts, amateur chefs and those who are already working in the hospitality industry. Students will be trained by some of the finest chefs in the industry and students require no previous cooking experience, just a genuine passion for food.
CLIFF Academy also offers day long themed Masterclasses featuring CLIFF chefs Martijn Kajuiter, Nathan Dimond and Sean Smith to utilise the best local and seasonal ingredients and allow home cooks to expand their recipe repertoire by learning from the best.
The facilities, which occupy the lower floor of a stone-made house in the central courtyard, feature a central marble worktop with 10 ovens and a series of stainless-steel work stations with a total of 12 inset four-ring hobs, making CLIFF Academy a state of the art facility in a stunning setting.
