Social Diary – The Official Launch of Chinnery Dublin Dry Gin

On Tuesday September 25th, Ireland’s latest gin launched at a special event in the Irish Architectural Archive in Dublin’s Merrion Square. Chinnery Spirits proudly unveiled Chinnery Dublin Dry Gin to guests at this exclusive launch.

This exciting new gin is flavoured with delicious Asian ingredients of the Osmanthus Flower and Oolong Tea. The fun-filled launch had a distinctly Asian flair with a unique menu created especially for the event.

The Georgian setting of the Irish Architectural Archive mirrored the Georgian design of the Chinnery Gin label. The botanicals used in creating the new gin include Osmanthus Flower, Oolong Tea, Juniper, Cassia Bark, Coriander Seed, Liquorice Root, Sweet Orange Peel, Grains of Paradise, Angelica Root and Orris Root.

Throughout the evening, celebrations were in full swing as guests sipped bespoke Chinnery Gin cocktails served in beautiful Chinese tea cups. The specially designed cocktails included The Last Word, Chinnery Gimlet and Yum Cha. The creative cocktails were used to toast the famed artist George Chinnery – it was George whose colourful life and travels to China inspired the name and its namesake.

David Havelin and Marie Byrne of Chinnery Spirits welcomed guests and spoke about the rich Chinnery Gin history. During the celebration, guests in attendance were challenged to play an ancient Chinese puzzle called the Tangram while they enjoyed a tempting selection of tasty nibbles. The Asian inspired fare included Cantonese duck pancakes with hoisin, sweet orange pearl cured smoked salmon blinis, coriander-infused fillet steak, oolong tea cones with cheese and pepper mousse as well as Chinnery Gin-infused tiramisu bites.

Guests on the evening celebrating the launch of Chinnery Dublin Dry Gin included Marc Amand, Leah Kilcullen, Anouska Proetta Brandon and DJ Tara Stewart.
