If you’re an avid reader of TheTaste, you’ll know we have a soft spot for the canal side gem Locks. Contemporary Irish cuisine, beautifully plated and served in one of the city’s most romantic and inviting dining rooms – what’s not to love?
Locks has earned itself a reputation for excellence, and with the recent appointment of Chris Maguire as Head Chef, bringing a wealth of experience from revered restaurants such as The Ledbury, Locks is getting better and better.
Eating your way around Dublin’s best can rack up a hefty bill, but if you’re taking our word for it and adding Locks to your must-try list, you’ll be delighted to hear that on Tuesday and Wednesday nights there is a special Chef’s Tasting Menu on offer for a steal, with 5 courses for just €45.
The special blackboard menu changes each day based on seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, and diners can expect to kick off with housemate bread and butter, followed by expertly crafted, modern and creative dishes showcasing the best of Irish produce.
The Chef’s Tasting Menu is only available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 5.30pm to 9.30pm, and an a la carte menu is also offered alongside it all evening, as well as an extremely tempting Market menu, also available all evening on Tuesday and Wednesday, if you would prefer to choose a couple of dishes yourself.
The Market Menu is also available from Thursday to Saturday between 5.30pm and 6.30pm and for lunch Friday and Saturday, between 12.30pm and 2.30pm with 2 course for €25 and 3 courses for €30, so you can experience Locks any day of the week without breaking the bank.
