Commenting on what guests can expect to experience at the Yoga Feed’s Equinox Escape, Founder & Yoga Teacher, Lucybloom Webb, said: “We have designed this escape to bring women back to their centre. You may find that you are constantly giving energy out to all of the demands in your life, and it can feel like a swinging pendulum. Over this weekend, through movement, stillness, ritual and feast, our aim is to create that space for you to nurture and return to yourself. This is crucial to our creative process and to move out into the world feeling inspired.”
Equinox Experiences:
The Autumn Equinox was an important marker on the calendar of our ancestors and it is widely recognised as a period for reflection as we begin our inward spiral to the darker months. Central to the Equinox Escape experience will be a guided outdoor fire pit and cleansing ceremony at sunrise (6.50am) on Saturday 23rd September, facilitated by Lucybloom Webb in honour of the Autumnal Equinox; one of two points in the year when the sun illuminates the northern and southern hemispheres equally.
Each day of the retreat she will also host immersive indoor yoga workshops specialising in embodiment, healing, and inner growth. Her sessions will be suitable for yogis of all levels, from beginners all the way through to the more advanced, and be tailored to help attendees move beyond their overactive minds in order to see beyond and gain clarity. These sessions will be used to balance your internal rhythm of masculine and feminine. In order to regulate the nervous system properly, it’s crucial to take time to settle, be still, move at your own pace and be inspired – in other words, making space for the feminine within to be expressed.
Those lucky enough to secure themselves one of the seventeen spots available on the exclusive Escape will also enjoy nature hikes within the 185-acre estate and a relaxing steam session in the Lodge’s own private sauna while sitting back and taking in uninterrupted views of the Fjord and Mweelrea mountain. And, its close proximity to the sea means that a fresh dip in the crystal clear waters for an invigorating wild swimming experience in the calm of Connemara is only a few steps away.
Catering By The Conscious Cook:
Chef Erica Drum
Nourishment throughout the getaway will be provided onsite by talented TV Chef, Erica Drum, aka The Conscious Cook, who will create freshly prepared wholesome vegetarian-focused meals and snacks throughout the day that cater for all special dietary requirements. From the Lodge’s fully-equipped beautiful bespoke kitchen, she will also host hands-on cookery classes showcasing the West’s wealth of locally produced, seasonal, and foraged foods. In line with her sustainable ethos and to ensure that the escape has as little impact on the local environment as possible, Erica’s menus will all be planned with a zero waste approach in mind.
Rural Rest & Relaxation:
Having fed your mind, body, and soul surrounded by nature, come the end of each day, where else would you want to be than relaxing outdoors on the terrace by the fire pit enjoying sunset over the magnificent Killary Fjord? And, for those wanting to grab some alone time during their stay, the spacious 6,000 sq metre coastal cabin provides plenty of cosy little nooks and hideaways that you can disappear off to at your leisure – ideal for kicking back with a good book!
Luxury Five-star Accommodation:
After all of your exertions, a good night’s sleep in the comfort of the luxurious Lodge is pretty much guaranteed. It contains ten spacious individually designed en suite rooms, complete with bespoke features and rainforest showers that can be easily configured to suit your individual requirements.
