Celebrate the 40th Anniversary of The Judgement of Paris at Restaurant FortyOne

It has been 40 years since the infamous Judgement of Paris and Restaurant FortyOne are recreating the controversial competition with an evening of superb food and entertaining wine tasting on the 23rd of March.

The Judgement of Paris was a famous blind tasting where judges had to select the best from a selection of French and US wines. The US was surprisingly triumphant and some judges were so annoyed they stormed out of the event. The controversy changed the wine world forever.

Restaurant FortyOne will provide the impeccable setting for this fascinating evening of Old World vs. New World wines.

Hosted by talented sommelier Victor Nedelea, guests will enjoy a canapé reception followed by a stunning three-course dinner created by Chef Graham Neville in the intimate and luxurious surroundings of Restaurant FortyOne.

Each course will be accompanied by two carefully selected glasses of wine focusing on the evening’s theme of Old World versus New World as you become the judge.

The Judgement of Paris competition has been held in many different locations every ten years since it first shocked the world and interestingly, the US nearly always wins!

Bring your own opinions to this handsome Georgian townhouse overlooking St. Stephen’s Green on Wednesday, March 23rd and pick your favourites from Old World vs. New in this stimulating and entertaining wine event.

For reservations please contact 01 662 0000 or email info@restaurantfortyone.ie

The price for the evening is €85pp including the 3-course dinner and matching wine tasting.
