Celebrate Race Week at Hotel Meyrick with Laurent Perrier Champagne

Looking for a tip this Galway Race Week, well it has to be Hotel Meyrick. Galway Races opens Monday next 25th July and Galway’s landmark Hotel Meyrick has for generations been at the centre or Galway Race Week festivities. Traditional to Galway races has been the beef roll at the track and this year Hotel Meyrick’s Gaslight Bar and Brasserie features the famous “Bookmaker” Sandwich, a limited edition Race Week special, this decadent sandwich of Irish Beef Sirloin, served in a warm Ciabatta is perfect to set you up for a day of racing at Ballybrit. Other favourites on Hotel Meyrick’s Galway Race week menu include the “Go Racing” Brunch, Eggs Benedict or the Gaslight Omelette, perfectly accompanied by a glass of Laurent Perrier Champagne

For a truly decadent pre-Racing experience, Hotel Meyrick are hosting an exclusive and limited edition Cocktail Afternoon Tea, available from 1pm in the afternoon to 6pm daily throughout Galway Race Week with creative creations including the refreshing Meyrick G & Tea and the velvety rich Meyrick Espresso Mar-T-ini, a coffee connoisseur’s dream tipple. At €25 per person, pre-booking is essential for this afternoon of pleasure pre an evening race meeting or simply to enjoy a true race week atmosphere away from the track.

Hotel Meyrick’s House DJ will be spinning classics and soul in the Gaslight from Wednesday night right throughout the Bank Holiday Weekend, and on Wednesday, Thursday & Friday nights, the Parlour Lounge will be hopping with the Absolut Cocktail & Laurent Perrier Champagne Pop Up bar and live music each night.

Stylish ladies excitedly await the return of Hotel Meyrick’s Most Stylish Lady Competition, in association with Fallers Jewellers which will take place in the Parlour Lounge on Ladies Day, Thursday the 28th July. Judging this year’s competition is the stunning TG4 Rugbaí Beo presenter Máire Treasa Ní Dhubhghaill, alongside a panel of fashion experts including Mandy Maher, owner of Catwalk Model Agency and leading Irish model Mary Lee. From 7.00pm onwards, stylish ladies are invited to meet and impress the judges and be in the running to win a prize fund valued at €2,000 from Fallers Jewellers and the lucky winners can select their favourite pieces from luxury brands including Michael Kors, Newbridge Silverware, Thomas Sabo and much more.
