Meanwhile, in Tipperary: You Can Book a Real Irish Pub on Airbnb

Have you ever been at a pub having such a wonderful time you simply want to stay all night? Now there is an Irish pub listed on Airbnb in which you can do exactly that. Wife and husband team, Erron and Dave Slingsey run Conroy’s Old Bar, in Aglish, Co Tipperary and they have turned it into a unique bed and breakfast.

The venue, described as “a traditionally characterful, authentic Irish, village bar, discreetly converted into self catering accommodation”, features many of the traditional elements of the beloved Irish pub such as a wood fireplace, a dartboard and an old-school bar area with high chairs, a polished mahogany bar and a very cosy feeling.

Ah, and it also has two bedrooms and can host up to four guests.

While the bar doesn’t own a licence anymore, it works on a BYOB policy so you can stock up and play publican with your friends. There’s also a kitchen area so you can accompany your tipples with a delicious Irish feast (a great excuse to source fresh and flavourful Irish ingredients from the area).

Its price is surprisingly modest, with bookings starting at €103 ($122) per night. This is the perfect location for a group of friends or a family wishing to enjoy an authentic Irish experience, specially if the idea of being surrounded by nature and close to several iconic Irish landmarks sounds good.

We’re planing our road trip already!
