The Bushmills Salmon & Whiskey Festival returns this year on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th of June. This fun filled festival, held at the Old Bushmills Distillery, celebrates this renowned distillery and the surrounding village’s amazing produce, culture and heritage.
One of Northern Ireland’s main salmon nurseries is also located here on the River Bush, making the local whiskey and salmon the perfect pairing.
The event will feature live music and dance performances, foodie talks and tours, celebrity cookery demos and of course lots of stations for you to sample many salmon and whiskey delights.
There will also be a family friendly fun zone with street performers and plenty of children’s workshops to keep all ages entertained throughout the festival.
Guests to the festival are invited to enjoy the best food and drink Northern Ireland has to offer. The Naturally North Coast and Glens Artisan Market will also be joining the festival for the two days. Here you can peruse unique handmade arts and crafts and local food produce. The market the perfect spot to pick up an usual and one of a kind gift and stock up on delicious goodies.
On Saturday the award-winning Tartine bakery will be holding the Bushmills Bake Off competition. The restaurant is located at the Distillers arms, this was the original home to the Bushmills Distillery owners.
All budding bakers are encouraged to enter the competition by downloading an entry form online. Entries will be on display in the Food Marquee where chef Paula McIntyre will begin the judging at 4pm.
