Ashford Castle’s George V Dining Room Earns the AA Notable Wine List Award 2017
Ashford Castle has just received a new accolade, this time thanks to its superb wine list. The luxurious five star hotel’s George V Dining Room was given the AA Notable Wine List Award for 2017 after competing with other 238 establishments from Ireland and the UK for the prestigious award.
With a centuries old cellar that keeps over 750 different wines including numerous high end bottles from the world’s top producing regions, Ashford Castle is an oenophile’s dream come true. Among the selected items in their list, they stock exclusively the Bouchard Finlayson collection from South Africa, boutique winery that is widely regarded as one of the country’s finest and which is owned by the Tollman family of Red Carnation Hotels.
