On Friday March 20th Lorna Watkins will unveil her solo exhibition in Baker Boys.
To celebrate this exciting, contemporary new exhibition, Baker Boys will host a Four-Course Supper Club inspired by the pieces selected for this exhibition.
During the evening diners will also be treated to an “expressive sketch”
where the artist will visit each table and create a sketch that diners can take home
About The Artist
Lorna Watkins is an Irish artist living and working in Sligo, on the North West coast of Ireland.
Loose and experimental mark making have made their way from drawings into Lorna’s paintings. Imbued with painterly layers upon layers of bright vivacious colours and marks, her work is fresh and full of energy. She was selected for the 188th Open Exhibition at the RHA, Dublin and awarded a fellowship by the Ballinglen Arts Foundation in 2019. Her work has been shown in group exhibitions in London, Berlin and New York.
Baker Boys Supporting Creative Artists
We love supporting art and culture in Sligo. We are honoured to be collaborating with Lorna for the launch of her Solo Show at Baker Boys – to run until May 2020.
Baker Boys has a policy of supporting creative artists of all disciplines and look forward to hosting more exhibitions and creative events in the future. We will keep on doing this because for us, art, culture, food and drink are all tied up with one another.
