Limerick’s nightlife is about to get better. Last Friday, the Treaty City welcome the first stage of what will be a five-area multi venue establishment called One Hundred & One and on the same night, stylish new nightclub Amber opened its doors on Howley’s Quay.
The venue takes inspiration from the hottest spots in New York, Berlin and London and it’s the latest launch by prestigious publican Alan Clancy and his business group. Last week he made headlines for the opening of 9 Below, Dublin’s most luxurious bar, located in the basement of St. Stephen’s Green Hibernian member’s club.
Amber is part of House Limerick, and it is the result of a €1 million investment. As reported by the Limerick Leader, the opening has created 30 new jobs, which add to the 30 staff who were already employed at House Limerick.
Clancy, whose other popular venues include House Dublin, 37 Dawson Street and Xico, pointed out that the city is having a moment as he told the newspaper: “We see Limerick as an exciting progressive city with huge potential and we are delighted to further invest here.”
With sleek interiors, seductive lightning (think chandeliers meet neon) and in tune with the latest global trends, Amber is a must visit spot for those seeking a fabulous night out in Limerick.
