Kate Ryan is bringing a taste of Japan’s cuisine and sake to West Cork with a special Japanese cookery demonstration by Fiona Uyema, author of the “Japanese Food Made Easy” cookbook. Attendees will also enjoy a tasting with one of Ireland’s leading experts in Sake, Joe Moore.
Fiona has been blogging about Japanese food for many years, sharing her fascinating experiences while working and living in Japan. Her book brings authentic Japanese food to Irish kitchens in simple, friendly steps. Since releasing her book, Fiona has also found success through the SuperValu Food Academy with her own range of infused soy sauces “Fused by Fiona”.
Joe Moore, Sake expert from Galway and self-confessed “sinnichi” (a.k.a. Japanophile) will guide us to take us through a journey of Sake, with tastings of two hand selected bottles brought back from a recent trip to Japan.

This event then will help to de-mystify this and encourage people to cook more Japanese food in the home.”
