A Rainbow Feast for the Eyes in Tang Cafe – Review

Sometimes for a quick lunch on the go all you want is something fresh, wholesome, and full of flavour! We visited Tang on Dawson Street during a break from a shopping day in the city and it was certainly a real treat without the guilt. Tang is perfect for healthy and good value for money options.

The delectable smell on Dawson Street of flatbreads cooking lured us into Tang. When we entered the café, we were greeted by the super friendly and helpful staff who advised us on their Middle Eastern style menu. We had to try one of the divine looking flatbreads, choosing the Middle Eastern Chicken (€7.50).

The flatbread was loaded with beetroot hummus, middle eastern chicken, carrots, cabbage, pickle, leaf, hot sauce and tzatziki.  The result was a rainbow feast for the eyes that we could not wait to tuck in to!  The taste was so fresh and nutritious with an abundance of flavour.  In addition to the Middle Eastern Chicken, you could choose from a Moroccan Lamb option or an attractive vegan option of Lebanese Bean.

We also had a bowl of hearty freshy made Broccoli Soup served with flatbread (€4.95) which was so satisfying and nourishing.  Although this green soup may sound extremely healthy (which it was!) it also tasted rich and creamy.

The coffee in Tang is also excellent, we enjoyed sitting outside people watching while sipping an oat latte and an organic cola.

The charm of Tang is its fresh, wholesome food along with its happy, welcoming staff which make it a vibrant and happy place to eat!

Tang also have a café on the North side of the city on Middle Abbey Street.
