Indulge in a Special Valentine’s Menu at Tartare Café & Wine Bar, Galway
One of Galway’s most popular restaurants is celebrating Valentine’s Day in style this year, with a specially designed menu. Tartare Café + Wine Bar is offering a fantastic Valentine’s Day Menu for just €39 per person and will be available from the 14th to the 16th of February.
The cosy and intimate setting of Tartare is the perfect backdrop for a romantic evening for you and your other half. Guests can enjoy JP McMahon’s signature style of contemporary Irish food. To begin your evening of romance you will be served a Gin, Meadowsweet and Rhubarb Cocktail on arrival. You will then enjoy a delicious board of Irish Charcuterie and Farmhouse Cheese, Pickles and Compote to share together.
After this, you can choose two of the following dishes; Beef Tartare, Pickled Onion, Smoked Egg; Celeriac, Mushroom Broth, Pickled Seaweed; Ham Hock, Cabbage, Smoked Potato Foam; Burren Smoked Salmon, Mustard Seeds, Sea Beats; Baby Beets, Blackcurrant, Kale; and Beef Cheek served with Smoked Black Pudding, Potato.
Finish your Irish inspired meal on a sweet note with a decadent Chocolate and Woodruff Mousse and Salted Caramel.
Tartare Café + Wine Bar is a terroir-based restaurant owned by husband and wife JP McMahon and Drigín Gaffey. The pair also own Michelin starred Aniar and Cava Bodega. During the day guests can enjoy freshly baked sourdough sandwiches, organic salads and homemade soups, as well as locally caught oysters.
Dishes featured on the menu are comprised of in-season produce, sourced from local suppliers. The wine menu on offer is centred on organic and biodynamic wines. In October 2018, Tartare was awarded a Bib Gourmand from the Michelin Guide. The Bib Gourmand celebrates simple and skilful cooking, alongside good quality food at a good value.
